Air Conditioning Tips

-Make sure you are changing or cleaning the furnace filter on the recommend schedule. If anyone in your family suffers from severe allergies, the right furnace filter will significantly help them.
-Make sure all the heat pump and air conditioning ducts are properly insulated, especially those that pass through the attic or any other unconditioned areas.
-Make sure furniture does not obstruct your air conditioning vents.
-Close all unnecessary openings such as fireplace dampers, doors and windows.
-Do not set the thermostat lower than the desired temperature when you first turn it on. It will not cool faster; it will only cool to a lower temperature than necessary and waste energy.
